What’s the easiest way to use Flight Tracker?
Call the 0818 220 333 number from your mobile with Calling Line ID switched on (typically the default setting), tell Flight Tracker the airline and flight number and you are done.
What happens when I request a flight status from the web page?
A free text will first be sent to the mobile you nominated to confirm that it is the correct mobile, by replying to the text with the word ‘TRACK’ the airline code and the flight number, e.g., track ei 104, you will then get immediate flight status and any updates associated with that flight as it progresses.
I don’t know the flight number, how can I search?
No Problem, using your mobile phone, call this national number 0818 220 333 and tell Flight Tracker which airports the flight is travelling between, choose an airline from the list and the departure or arrival time. It will then speak back the current flight status, confirming the information by text.
Why is Flight Tracker asking for a mobile number?
To track a flight Flight Tracker requires a validated mobile number to send the SMS updates to, if you have private line enabled or you are calling from a fixed line phone Flight Tracker will ask you for a mobile.
How much does the Flight Tracker cost?
Each flight enquiry costs €2.00 incld VAT, you are only charged once we have correctly identified the flight you are interested in and information is available. The charge is deducted from your mobile phone when the first text is delivered, all subsequent texts are free.
If you call the national number you will be charged the standard national minute rate laid out in your tariff plan with your mobile network provider.
If your phone is registered in the UK or Europe, your mobile network provider won’t charge you to receive Flight Tracker update messages (if you’re phone is registered outside of Europe, please check any costs with your mobile operator).
How many updates will I receive?
The initial message will contain the current flight status, if the flight has not left yet you will receive a text telling you when it took off and the estimated arrival time. You will receive additional updates in the event of a delay, a diversion or cancellation, information on the reason for a delay will be included if available from ground operations, finally you will receive confirmation of the actual landing time once the flight has arrived. The number of messages received is dependent on the status of the flgiht when you call and the timeliness of your flight.
